Join
us as Writers and Books and JGK Galleries present a unique collaboration between
poetry and art. Sixteen Rochester poets have written poems in response
to the artwork of California artist, Brittany Ryan. Ms. Ryan works both
as a painter and a sculptor and this exhibit includes
examples of both forms. This Friday evening event will include readings
of these poems by the poets, a reception with Brittany Ryan, and a
viewing of the show. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and
mingle with the artist and the poets.
I am one of the poets that participated in the project. I responded to Ryan's sculpture entitled: Infinite Potential.
I am looking forward to this event's reading and viewing of the artwork. It promises to be an exciting evening of Art.
